Discipline and Deliverance
Discipline refines the artist, and through suffering he learns the rules. We should not reject discipline or rebuke when we are judged, for correction keeps us from being condemned with the system. Discipline is given in love, and we are tested when we are accepted as musicians. To learn music is righteous and fills the heart with joy. Its commandments are pure, and its beauty makes the eyes shine. The wisdom within the octaves springs from understanding and discernment. Every true musician has been shaped by discipline, and through it, great peace is found. For in the craft of music, correction is not punishment — it is proof of being chosen.
The Lord brings us deliverance even through the hands of those who cause our suffering. In moments of pain, we sing — not out of strength, but in hope that our voices reach the heavens and are met with mercy. Through that mercy, we find assurance. And when the weight lifts, we return to our quiet spaces, to our home studios, where peace slowly finds us again. Forgive us, for we too have felt fear.
When others devise evil, we breathe in a different fragrance — a reminder that even in corruption, we must not curse the song because of the people. The heart of man leans toward evil from youth, yet we do not strike what lives. The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing, but the words of the wicked twist toward deceit. They plan evil even in their rest, walking paths that lead them away from good. Their hearts devise harm, their feet rush toward wrongdoing, and their tools are ruthless. False counsel leads the afflicted astray, and lies deceive even when truth is spoken by the poor.
Woe to those who lie awake plotting harm, who rise at dawn to carry out their devices — for they sow only discord. The schemer stirs up strife, and the slanderer separates close friends. So now, I urge you, leader and listener alike: remain vigilant against those who cause division and lead others to stumble. Turn away from envy, anger, and idolatry; from rivalry, jealousy, and deceit. For music, like faith, cannot live where the heart is divided.
